Gaming Gear: 2022 Alienware x14 i7 16GB Ram Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, LED Nintendo Switch, & Quest 3 & 2. Extra Gear: Turtle Beach Headphones, Samsung Surround Sound, Gaming TV, Samson Microphone, Curved Gaming Monitor, Mechanical Keyboards, & Gaming Mice.
Upgrades: New PC. Intel Core Ultra 7 265F, 32GB RAM, GeForce 5060Ti 16GB VRAM, 2TB SSD (+1TB WD Black External). Meta Quest 3s. Razer Leviathan v2 Soundbar, LG G733 Headset, and TCL 4K QLED Gaming TV.
Still have: Xbox Series X, PS5, Nintendo Switch OLED, Meta Quest 2, and the game chair (huge fan of AK Racing).
Timeframe: 2022-2024 as I acquired the technology: Had a Quest 2, Alienware x14, my Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5. My Nintendo Switch OLED was on a separate TV. My new stand-up desk was large and very suitable.
Gaming Laptop Specs: Intel i7, 16GB RAM, 144Hz, GeForce RTX 3060 6GB VRAM, 512GB SSD. This laptop ended up frying itself alive. It got incredibly hot during gameplay and the display and mic/webcam stopped working. I brought it in for repair, but ultimately the system insisted everything was fine with itself during self-diagnosis. Clearly - it wasn't. I was no longer a fan of Alienware after that. These specs were mediocre for $1,600. Still, I had no complaints and it played the games but became outdated in only a few years. It only lasted 2.7 years, now it's bricked.
Same gaming computer, just maybe 5 years later. Had a thing for expensive keyboards and a new taste in mice. Above my desk (which you can't see), a TV was mounted to the wall and I played my Xbox on it while I gamed or watched something on this setup below. That Alienware keyboard was cool but wasn't the best, nor practical. But I still had a thing for Alienware at this time. The Razer Huntsman I still have with me today. I love that keyboard.
Year: 2013. Yes, that's an Xbox 360 Slim with a Kinect and Triton wireless headphones - cutting edge stuff right there. That old rig (that you can barley see on the bottom left) was my first gaming computer that only glowed blue from the top fans and was just a black shell. It was not RGB, just glowed blue. My wireless Razer Viper mouse was so cool.
